巡回警備や点検業務を行う自律走行セキュリティロボットの、外形デザインとロゴデザインを担当しました。変化しゆく警備ニーズに応えて、安心感を与える凛としたたたずまいと、やわらかで自然な存在感を両立する、「威厳はあるが、威圧はしない」という難しいテーマに、セコム、ロフトワークのみなさんとチームを組み、一丸となって挑戦しました。2022年6月から、成田空港とサンシャインシティにて、警備サービスを開始しました。日経優秀製品・サービス賞 2022 最優秀賞、グッドデザイン賞 2022 受賞。
I provided styling and logo design for the SECOM cocobo, the autonomous security robot which patrols and inspects automatically. Responding to changing needs for the security systems, the SECOM, the Loftwork and I teamed up to create a robot that is “commanding but nonintimidating,” which resulted in the cocobo’s unique design balancing well between dignified, trustworthy appearance and friendly, natural presence. Security services started in June 2022 at Narita Airport and Sunshine City. It received the Nikkei Superior Products and Services Award 2022 Grand Prize and Good Design Award 2022.
